Colin Dunne

Colin Dunne was born in Birmingham, England to Irish parents. He began dancing at the young age of 3 at Marion Turley Academy of Irish Dancing, and began competing one year later. At 9, Colin won his first World Champion, All England, and All Ireland Titles.

Colin received his education at Warwick University, pursuing a degree in Economics before Riverdance came calling. He replaced Michael Flatley, the original lead dancer of Riverdance, in its London run, filling the role within 24 hours.

Although Colin has long since retired from Riverdance in June 1998, he is currently starring on a new show with Riverdance alum Jean Butler entitled Dancing on Dangerous Ground. Prior to the Dancing On Dangerous Ground tour which currently is in New York, Colin was also a tutor in the University of Limerick's Irish Traditional Dance postgraduate courses, held at the university's Irish World Music Centre.

Colin released his first instructional video on Irish Dancing entitled Celtic Feet in 1998, and this video can be purchased through the Celtic Cafe.
