What was the inspiration behind Barrage?

"We wanted to create a unique violin concept — one that combined music, showmanship, choreography, youth, athleticism and energy. Barrage isn't about the preservation of a certain style of music or a particular type of entertainment experience. What we try to do is trace the roots of the violin in different cultures and bring forth the ethnic components in a contemporary theatrical way. The goal is to create something unique, something that you haven't seen or heard before."
