BALLYGOWAN IRISH SPRING WATER

Among the many wonderful projects that Ronan Hardiman has been involved with since Lord of the Dance, Feet of Flames, and his terrific solo albums, Solas and Anthem, is the composing of the score for the Ballygowan Irish Spring Water television and cinema advertisement. This epic production involved a full orchestra plus a 50-piece choir! View the video and hear the fantastic music at Ronan's official site: RonanHardiman.com

Directed by Colum Maguire for Russell Avis Productions, the commercial was shot over a period of 4 days, at locations in the Wicklow Gap and Kilruddery Estate in Bray, Co. Wicklow, and builds on the success of The Children of Lir -- which emphasised the purity and heritage of Ballygowan.

The storyline moves on from that Irish Legend of 'The Children of Lir' to a less familiar but classical saga of purity/good over evil. In a dramatic mythological landscape, a beautiful girl on horseback is pursued by an evil band led by Irish Actor Eoin McCarty. The girl is cornered by the demons but saves herself through a magical transformation using the purity of Ballygowan.

A large number of horses were used in shooting this commercial including two stunt horses specially trained in falling and rearing.

Costume design was by Joan Bergin, Creative concept Michael Creagh and Jean Donovan of McConnells and the Agency Producer was Dave Murphy. Post Production was carried out by Screen Scene.
