Liz Madden, harpist and main vocalist, has worked with Hazel O'Connor and The Troggs, as well as in the theatre and pop industry as a performer and composer.

The duo discovered a new creative impulse working together. "I had been doing a lot of work on my own, but when we discovered the creative dynamic that existed betwen us, that was just it," says Madden.

Rua's care to detail shows in everything, in each track, in the design of their CD and publicity materials (they work closely with Co. Cork clothing designer Eileen France).
