composer and Executive Producer Eric Cunningham,
Dance of Desire
is a big show brought to life magically each performance by a surprisingly small
cast of very talented people. All summer long they have welcomed me with big smiles
and warm friendship and it has been a joy to watch them going from strength to
strength as the show develops. For some it is the first taste of the big show
stage, some are 'old hands', having been in shows from Feet of Flames (Hyde Park,
1998) to To Dance on the Moon, Riverdance, Gaelforce and Dancing on Dangerous
Ground. And they are a cosmopolitan group, gathering together their artistry from
all over the world into this fabulous show. I would not intrude on their
precious time to bother all of them for interviews, especially as I know an interview
section is shortly going online at the official show site, but I would like to
share some pictures I took of them, some after shows through the summer, some
at the last-night champagne party at which Eric and the dancers so generously
invited me to join them. Thank you all for a wonderful evening - and
summer! Please note,
the following is a list of the performers in Dance
of Desire as it begins its six-week tour of Germany, starting on Sept.
19 in Weingarten, with dates in the Netherlands on Oct. 9 and 10. Click
