Magic of the Dance at the Celtic Cafe

Irish dance shows may come and go, but there is only one which truly offers its audiences a gateway to a land of enchantment - Magic of the Dance! Featuring World Irish Dancing Champions and the New York Tap All Stars, a narration by celebrated actor Christopher Lee (Lord of the Rings, Star Wars) and the unique 'Feet of Fire', Magic of the Dance is a dance show like no other.

Played out against the background of the potato famine in Ireland, it tells a timeless love story of a boy and girl who fall in love, only to be separated as they travel to America in search of a better life, and their struggle against the dark forces that conspire to keep them apart. Their love of music and dance sustains them throughout their hardships, and the Old World meets the New in a sparkling duel between the brash style of New York and the more traditional, but equally energetic, Irish tap dance.

Created in 1999, Magic of the Dance has become a global phenomenon, featuring some of the fastest tap dancers in the world, including the show's lead and head choreographer Michael Donnellan, twice World Irish Dance Champion and a former star of Lord of the Dance and Riverdance. The production is in turns romantic, sinister and exhilarating, while the show-stopping 'Feet of Fire' inevitably leaves crowds gasping and cheering for more.

Direct from its latest, highly successful shows in Europe and the Far East, Magic of the Dance makes its touring debut of the UK through the summer of 2004. Full of mystery and romance, this is an experience that should not be missed. Let Magic of the Dance cast its spell over you!
