Michael Flatley has always done it "his way".

First, he made entertainment history when he dazzled the world with the passion and beauty of his Celtic dancing. Then, when they said it could not be done, he created LORD OF THE DANCE his own company and produced a staggeringly successful International tour that sold out Theatres and Arenas wherever it went.

Now, at the very zenith of his fame and popularity Michael Flatley has done it his way again. The restlessly creative genius has announced that he will be heading to Hollywood to create a major motion picture - and that this will definitely be his final stage Tour.

Already Hollywood studios are queuing for the man whose LORD OF THE DANCE has become one of the hottest tickets in history. As the London Express said "Hollywood knows an original talent when it spies one...not since Fred Astaire have the LA Studios been so keen to turn a dancer into a Movie Star..."

So, with the whole world literally at his feet, Michael Flatley is leaving his stage - and Australian audiences have their last opportunity to see him live, supported by a magnificent cast of dancers, singers and musicians. Tickets for Michael Flatley’s farewell will disappear as fast as the flashing feet of his company and at the end of the Final Tour, the world of stage will be a less vibrant place but as Michael says: "It’s always been my dream to make a Hollywood movie and bring my kind of dance to as many people as possible. On this Final Tour, I am going to leave our loyal fans with a performance they will never forget!"

AN ANCIENT CULTURE
BECOMES THE SHOW OF THE 90’S

It began as a totally unexpected seven minute sensation on Eurovision. It evolved into the LORD OF THE DANCE Tour that grossed over $200 million as it blitzed box office records through Australia, the UK and the USA, before exploding onto the stage at the Oscars in front of 1 billion viewers.

Now, due to unprecedented demand and acclaim it returns, bigger, better and more spectacular than even when Duet Entertainment present LORD OF THE DANCE - The Final Tour.

How can this new production be even better than the previous Tour? The answer lies partly in the evolving talent and vision of Michael Flately, the 38 superb dancers, the haunting soprano and brilliant Irish band, the matchless choreography of Ariene Phillips (Hot Gossip), the mind-blowing sets of Jonathan Park (the Rolling Stones Wheels Tour & U2’s Zoo Tour) and magnificent costumes by Sue Blane (the original Rocky Horror Show).

Critics have described the new maturity that has turned a company of talented individuals into the world’s most exciting dance troupes as: "mastery and confidences", "a beautifully disciplined company". On top of that talent, the Final Tour reaches new heights in its fusion of ancient Celtic performances and modern rock technology - with spectacular light show effects, giant video screens enhancing the on stage imagery and turning Lord of the Dance into a multi-media sensation.

And at the heart of it all is Michael Flatley’s new inspiration: the ancient and mystical story of good versus evil - danced and told as only he can.
