Sara Louise Manning was born in Portsmouth, England on February 7, 1977. She began dancing at the age of 5, receiving her instruction from Sean Evecinn McMahon.

Although Irish dancing had always been a hobby, Sara Louise did not have it in mind as a career, and she plans to carry on her studies to be an accountant after her stint with Lord of the Dance. She admits to having been "scared witless but excited at the same time", during opening night, yet these days one finds Sara slipping into her Irish dance shoes night after night (with 2 nights off) at New York New York Hotel.

Sara's favorite number in Lord of the Dance is the opening slip jig wherein she states, "It's a great feeling lying there as the curtain goes up and knowing that you start the show".

With Irish dancing being the rage that it is these days, Sara states that when she was five, most people thought "it involved dancing over sticks...it's a kick in the teeth now to the people who made fun of me when I was younger for doing it."

And on her days off, Sara enjoys the food and the tv shows that Las Vegas has to offer, one of them being "The Eastenders"
