Mindy's Book Bag
Let me introduce myself. My name is Mindy. I'm a bookseller for an international book selling company and an avid fan of Celtic music, dance and literature. I'm also a voracious reader.
During a recent conversation with Bernadette I was lamenting the fact that there are so many Celtic oriented books on the market, both new and old, that there had to be a way to expand on their exposure here in the Celtic Cafe.
The next thing I knew I was recruited, and the Book Bag was born. What should you expect here? First of all, short reviews of the latest Celtic oriented titles to hit the bookstores. Most of the books will be fiction, but not all. I'm planning to feature authors from all over the Celtic world or books with a distinctly Celtic theme. Not all the books will be new releases.Expect diversity.
Titles will be added as I read them, which may not be on an exact monthly basis, so keep your eyes open and visit often.
I also welcome your input. Do you have a favorite Celtic book that you would like to see featured? Please, let me know. Would you like to try your hand at writing a review? All comers are welcome. Have you read a book I reviewed or recommended? Did you like it? Hate it? Why? I'm hoping to create an open forum. Your feedback is very important.
Please contact me at mindy@celticcafe.com. Who knows, this could grow into our own Celtic Cafe Book Club.
