Red Hurley Update

Florida PBS viewers can avoid the Saint Patrick's Day pub crowds and spend the evening with Red Hurley instead -- the popular Irish singer will be featured in a two-hour broadcast to celebrate the day, featuring works from Red's latest album, "I Will Sing".

Celtic Tapestry

If you haven't yet had the pleasure of visiting Maggie's Music, now is the time to check out the wonderful website for this independent label -- Time-Life Records has released a two-disc compilation of the best of Maggie's Music, from artists including Hesperus, Bonnie Rideout, Ceoltoiri, and many others, including Maggie Sansone herself! The Mountain of Marvels

The Donegal Woman

John Throne's first novel, The Donegal Woman, has been winning raves since its publication in Ireland in July 2006 -- now it's crossed the ocean for its launch in America. After a "sneak preview" in San Francisco on January 16, 2007, the author will be reading and signing copies of the book at the Irish American Heritage Center, 4626 N. Knox Ave., Chicago from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 21.
