We started the "Buzz" section here at the Celtic Café as a means of sharing some of the news and information posted to our associated mail lists, which are devoted mostly (but not exclusively) to Irish dance and Celtic music. Besides having a wonderful new CD "Celt," Michael Londra has been keeping very busy since his time as lead singer in Riverdance on Broadway and the Music Director of RadioCelt! Hear samples of the tunes at Amazon. Starting May 1, CELT will be featured on the listening station in 275 Borders Stores nationwide! Michael writes on his site that they are excited that Borders believes so strongly in the CELT project, as it is rare that an independent artist gets such an endorsement by this major chain.
More exciting news coming in a few weeks about the release of CELT throughout Europe, Asia and Australia. Michael is currently in Ireland planning for an extensive European tour. Dates in Australia will be announced soon, and upcoming dates in the U.S. include the Corn Palace Festival on August 24, 2006 with Irish dancers, LeAnn Rimes and Trace Adkins.

Many public television stations across the U.S. have been and continue to be responsible for helping to create a huge interest in Irish dance and Celtic music, including WLIW 21 of New York. Check WLIW or your local PBS stations to see specials like Celtic Roots Festival; Live Concert of the Greatest Irish Artists: Gael Force; The Corrs: Live in Geneva; Daniel O'Donnell: The Rock 'n Roll Show; Frank Patterson: Ireland's Greatest Tenor - Ireland in Song; Jakers!
