Liz Madden

"If a harp had a voice, it would sound like Liz Madden. With a sound that flows through the air like rose petals through a wind chime."

The last four years have seen Irish recording artist and performer Liz Madden go from strength to strength. During that time Liz has recorded three solo albums: My Irish Home which is a collection of Irish and Folk songs with some originals by Liz, Christmas Celebration which was her 2010 Christmas album featuring a full choir and a children’s choir, and Going Home which was written and produced with Fionan de Barra (Runa, Moya Brennan, Fiddler’s Bid, Clannad). Liz also created the world music group Shishonnah with US artist Jenne Lennon and musician/producer Roland Labana, and they have received wonderful reviews about their exciting new sound and live performances.

This coming October sees another step forward for Liz with the release of her Irish album in France. French label Keltia Musique plan to release the much loved My Irish Home this coming October. This album has already received rave reviews and was arranged and produced by Liz, Richard Cottle (Seal, Eric Clapton & Russell Watson) and James Graydon (Emma Bunton). It features 14 tracks including Greensleeves, Galway Shawl, Spancil Hill and This Land Is Your Land among others. This is the first of a number of international releases for this album.

Liz has been doing well in Asia with the release of her Christmas album in Japan, her Irish album in Taiwan and many of her tracks being featured this year alone in eight compilation albums. Aside from preparing for performances in 2013, Liz is currently working on a four new recording projects – her next solo album, a new album with Shishonnah plus two collaborative albums.
