Karl Jenkins OBE is globally recognised. It is perhaps for his Adiemus project and 'classical' works for which he is best known. Adiemus has topped classical and 'pop' charts around the world. In addition he gained BAFTA Cymru 'gongs' for his scores for The Celts and Testament in 2004. His commissions include works for Lesley Garrett, Royal Ballet, BBC Proms in the Park, Bryn Terfel, and numerous works for television and film including advertising for Levi's, British Airways, Renault, Volvo, De Beers, C&G, Tag Heuer, Pepsi and countless more. Druid celebrates both our cultural ancestry and our contemporary sophistication by combining Celtic compositions old and new as well as using only the finest Irish talents in all its artistic and production values. Audiences will be enthralled by the new compositions by world famous composers such as Karl Jenkins, as well as standards such as "Nancy Spain", "My Lagan Love" and "Raglan Road". Backed by an 11-piece orchestra, Druid will be performed by five of Ireland's most outstanding classical male vocalists: Ciaran Nagle (Riverdance, The Three Irish Tenors), Tony Norton (La Scala, The Three Irish Tenors), Eoin Brady (National Chamber Choir), Simon Morgan (Anuna, The Drawing Room Opera Company) and Brian Dunphy (Riverdance, The Three Irish Tenors). This will be a spectacularly designed and produced show with only the best of modern day Irish design, including suits and costumes by leading top Irish fashion designers.

The Druid spectacular is in advanced negotiations with American broadcasting giant PBS (Public Broadcast Service) to secure the rights to film and broadcast this stage spectacular. PBS are owned and operated by the nation's 348 public television stations. Available to 99 percent of American homes with televisions and to an increasing number of digital multimedia households, PBS serves nearly 90 million people each week.

Also in America, Druid was exhibited at the annual conference of Performing Arts Presenters in New York earlier this year and has been booked for an extensive US tour in late 2006 and early 2007. Plans are already in place for a UK tour in the summer of 2006.
