Good vs. evil, the eternal battle, plays out nightly in "Michael Flatley's Lord of the Dance," the interantional hit playing at New York-New York.
Of course, "Lord of the Dance" is more than just good vs. evil. It's outstanding Irish dancing, delightful singing and dynamic special effects. The Celtic spectacular has been drawing near-capacity crowds since it opened in 1998.
The story is based on an old Irish folklore. The Lord of the Dance is challenged by Don Dorcha and his warriors. The Lord takes on the evil forces and triumphs in the end. Along the way, however, there are numerous skirmishes and challenges, and the audience is treated to thrilling dancing and a show that calls for standing ovations. The energetic cast of 40 features four principal dancers.
